Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how you can access or correct it.
Fifth Castle Media is the trading name of Five Castles Pty Ltd (ABN 76 651 385 545), based at 26 Park Drive, Belgrave VIC 3160. We take our obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles seriously, and we collect the minimum information needed to respond to you and run our business.
What we collect
When you submit a form on this website, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, organisation if you include it, and the content of your message. When you request a download such as the 2026 Video Playbook, we collect your name and work email address so we can send it to you. Our hosting provider also keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser types, which we use only for security and to keep the site working.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, such as which pages people view and where visitors arrive from. This sets cookies and sends anonymised usage data to Google, which may store it on servers outside Australia. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not run advertising or remarketing trackers. You can opt out through your browser settings or Google's own opt-out tools. Video on this site is played through Vimeo, and if you choose to play a video, Vimeo may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. We request that embedded players not track viewers where the platform supports it.
How we use your information
We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, to send you material you have requested, and to manage any project we deliver for you. We do not sell personal information, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you have asked to receive something ongoing or later agree to it.
Where it is stored and who sees it
Form submissions are stored by our website host and delivered to our business email. Information about active projects is kept in the systems we use to run the business. Access is limited to the people who need it to do the work. Some providers we use may store data outside Australia; where that is the case, we choose established providers with appropriate security practices.
Filming and photography subjects
If you appear in video or photography we produce, your consent is handled through release forms and the agreements for that project, not through this website policy. Questions about footage or images you appear in can be sent to the contact below.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Email info@fifthcastle.media and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our practices change. This version was published in July 2026.
